Bahman Tavassoli
Chief Technologist

Bahman Tavassoli, Ph.D. is Chief Technologist at ATS, responsible for the development of innovative electronics cooling solutions; provision of thermal design and consultation services and ongoing research and development in electronics cooling. 

Prior to ATS, Bahman worked in the aerospace industry as a Research Engineer at Textron Lycoming where he developed simulation programs for the analysis of flow inside gas turbines.



Dr. Tavassoli is an internationally recognized expert in the thermal management and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including IMAPS and ITHERM. He has extensive experience in computational fluid dynamics, authored several technical papers on electronics cooling and thermal engineering and holds a patent in the area of electronics cooling.



Bahman Tavassoli earned his undergraduate degree, in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in 1980, his master’s degree, in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in 1982, and his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut in 1990.
